Coral Dove Studio was built on a foundation of genuine connection. We believe that the best creative work is produced when all parties involved form an authentic bond centered around a vision, then approach it from their unique points of view. At CDS, connection = trust = open collaboration = honest and emotive visuals that stir the artistic soul.
our analog process
At CDS, we believe that film photography plays a crucial role in capturing the essence and ambiance of your wedding day. We have a deep appreciation for the distinct qualities of film - the grain, the grit, and the ethereal nature that combine to turn simple moments into art forms. Think about your parents’ and grandparents’ weddings - they were all captured on film. We strive to bring a timeless, nostalgic quality to your wedding day by giving you something physical to cherish forever, and we believe that film is the perfect medium to achieve this.
The nostalgic feel of film photography is unmistakable. When you see a photo taken on a film camera, you can automatically tell it’s analog, making it truly one of a kind. Shooting film is a more intimate process than shooting digital as the photographer has to physically wind the film, focus manually, and then take the photo. Our top priority when shooting film is being intentional with every shot we take to capture the small moments that matter most.
why we love film
Film formats like 35 mm and 120 mm have existed for over a century, and their longevity adds to their enduring charm. Our goal is to help you relive the emotions of your special day through beautiful images. We want to capture genuine moments that showcase your unique personality. We strive to capture candid moments that reflect your raw emotions and personality. After your wedding, the thrill of anticipating the film scans is a beautiful and exhilarating experience.

Meet the Team
owner, film photographer
-
Caitlin is the owner of Coral Dove and has been shooting over 200 weddings for the past seven years. She has a Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing and a Minor in Art History and Photography which influences all of her work.
She adores capturing simple moments in a truly honest and artistic way using film as her main medium. When she isn’t photographing she’s reading historical fiction, gardening, watching Ingmar Bergman films, and cooking vegan food. She also has three rescue dogs and two rescue horses that keep her hands full. She currently lives in Tennessee and happily travels anywhere to photograph weddings.
Super 8 Videographer

I’m Elis, I’m a wedding and portrait photographer with a love for cinema and art history. That has been my full-time job for the last 12 years. However, in 2022, I started dabbling with Super 8 format and discovered a creative outlet that is an enormous source of joy for me. There's truly something exceptional about the way life is captured at 18 frames per second: an instantaneous dreamlike interpretation of a real moment.
I'm so happy to join the Coral Dove team as their Super 8 filmmaker! What a dream to work alongside Caitlin to document your day!
